"The flagship wine of the winery, it is a clear demonstration of the benefits of a wise mixture of grape varieties. This wine is elaborated starting from the free-run juices of the native quality varieties from the O ROSAL Valley, located on the Galician riverbanks of the Miño River, very close to the river mouth in the lands of La Guardia, in front of the neighbouring Portugal, under the Designation of Origin from Rías Baixas. Its prominent personality is the result of a combination of grape musts from the legendary ALBARIÑO variety (approximately 70%) with those of the singular LOUREIRA and CAIÑO BLANCO in the most adequate proportions. For Terras Gauda 2007, for which harvesting began on 20 September, we selected the albariño grapes from the plots at Eiras-Bostelo, our lowest-lying vineyard, with high humidity, south-facing and warmer temperatures, producing an albariño-based wine that is highly concentrated, less acidic and with considerable body. Our loureiro grapes, harvested in late September, come from high-lying vineyards, living us freshness, with high floral intensity and smoothness in the mouth. Our caiño grapes, which were harvested between 3 and 5 October, are grown in the same area as the albariño grapes, where the humidity and temperature conditions are optimal for extracting all their flavour potential. The result is a wine with an interesting complex mix of aromas, combining white fruits, orange pips and peel with fresh balsamic notes, supported by subtle floral and mineral hints. It enters the mouth smoothly, progressing towards a pleasant, sticky sweetness, accompanied by fresh, bright acidity, concluding with fleshy finish in the mouth, long and creamy. "

Kiedyś prowadziłem zaawansowane studia nad winam z Rias Baixas:) I rzeczywiście Terras Gauda wypadło bardzo nieźle.

Kiedyś w Australii zdawało im się, że Albarinho znaleźli, a okazało się, że to były grona francuskiej odmiany Savagnin. Wolicie Loureiro czy Albarinho? Ja chyba to drugie.

Nie wiem, czy lubię Loureiro, za mało doświadczeń za to Albarino lubię bardzo, z białych szczepów jest u mnie chyba zaraz za Rieslingiem. Ja też bym prowadził badania nad Albarino z Rias Baixas, ale niestety dostępność u nas słaba, a ceny dość wysokie jednak.

Napisz do Pinot.pl z zapytaniem, mają kilka ciekawostek z tej apelacji czy odmiany, niekoniecznie są na ich stronie. Na stronie mają tylko to, ale głowę dam, że mieli jeszcze kilka w podobnej cenie. A Vinho Verde taniutkie, też mają, ale to już Alvarinho.
